WWF Norway
Earthtree Media partnered with WWF, Naturvernforbundet, Natur og Ungdom, and Sabima to launch a vibrant, interactive exhibit for kids.
This immersive experience sparks curiosity and deepens appreciation for hidden ecosystems, ancient forests, and the importance of preserving them.
Character Design & World Creation
In this adventure, our beloved Doodlepals—Nora, Doodle, and Poppy—shrink to bug size and discover hidden worlds in the forest, meeting insects, birds, mushrooms, and tiny creatures while learning about the environment they call home. The concept was developed by Earthtree Media’s Marius Andersen and illustrated by Øistein Kristiansen.
Storytelling
Through a humorous comic story, the Doodlepals explore ‘Billebarkeby’—a tiny universe hidden in an ancient forest. They meet its quirky inhabitants as they prepare for the annual food festival, featuring a buffet of rotten wood, moss, pine needles, and other peculiar delicacies. Along the way, the Doodlepals learn why protecting the old forest is vital, as it provides food and shelter for countless species—blending laughter with fascinating facts.
Interactive Exhibit
Utilizing our Doodlepals platform, the exhibit combines colorful illustrations and hands-on activities to introduce children to the wonders of nature. Forests are presented as treasure troves of wildlife, plants, and hidden life beneath the surface—where countless insects, fungi, and microorganisms thrive. This immersive experience sparks curiosity and fosters a deeper appreciation for the ecosystems just out of sight.
