2014 has undeniably been Earthtree Media’s most creative and successful year to date. We’ve experienced significant growth, expanded our core brands—Learn to Draw and Box Yourself—and introduced our content to new audiences and territories across the globe. Most importantly, we’ve gained valuable insights that will propel us forward through 2015 and beyond.
Our mission remains simple: to inspire kids to be creative. We produce a diverse range of content, including TV shows, books, e-books, magazines, interactive apps, games, activity packs, live shows, art materials, and even interactive t-shirts. Our goal is to create experiences that are not only entertaining and educational but also valuable, collaborative, surprising, and—above all—FUN!

We’re lucky to have Øistein Kristiansen at the heart of everything we do. Without a doubt, he is one of the world’s #1 kids’ creativity gurus, both on-screen and through his frequent live appearances. Øistein is also Earthtree’s chief artist and illustrator. As our Creative Director, he shapes the look and feel of everything we create here at Earthtree.
In 2015, Øistein will continue to be on TV screens and perform his live show worldwide. We’re also excited to be developing and producing new live-action TV shows across both Box Yourself and Learn to Draw. Be sure to check out our latest pilot episodes of Box Yourself Minis.
Our major new direction in 2014 was animation, and particularly, developing our creative character, Doodle.
We finally gave Doodle his own show this year: Learn to Draw Minis. With 104 x 1-minute episodes produced so far, the show has been a massive success, selling worldwide across every continent. Filler shows like Learn to Draw Miniswork incredibly well for broadcasters and web-based content providers. Like Box Yourself Minis, it features no dialogue, which means no need for dubbing or subtitling for international audiences.
Due to the success of Learn to Draw Minis, we’re producing new episodes all the time. Here’s the latest episode, #105: “Frankie-Monster”, with added disco!
Expect to see even more of Doodle in 2015, with new shows airing on TV, available on the web, and on planes, trains, trams, and taxis!
One of the key takeaways for us in 2014 has been the growth of products tied to our TV shows: books, e-books, magazines, apps, hobby packs, art materials, games, home decor, and even our own online video store. Creativity is arguably the most interactive genre of kids’ TV—after all, what’s the point if kids aren’t inspired to create their own art and crafts?
As a result, it’s crucial that, alongside watching our shows, kids can also practice the methods and techniques they see, working on their own drawings.
In 2015, you’ll see more products available globally, designed to inspire creativity. Here are just two of the many items already on sale in Korea, thanks to our fantastic partners at AB Media in Seoul.
Thank you to everyone who has used our content or visited this site in 2014. Please keep coming back! We love to hear from you, so don’t hesitate to email us with any questions, suggestions, or feedback.
